Fireproof glass curtain wall refers to a type of exterior wall structure in high-rise buildings that uses fire-resistant glass as the exterior wall material and organically combines the building curtain wall with fire-resistant partition components to meet fire protection requirements.
3. GB 15763.1-2009 Safety Glass for Building Use Part 1: Fire resistant Glass: specifies the requirements for materials, properties, test methods, and other aspects of fire resistant glass.
1. Insulated and fire-resistant glass curtain wall:
1.1 Types of Composite Insulated Fireproof Glass Selection
(1) Grouting fireproof glass: It is a fireproof glass that is filled with fireproof liquid between two pieces of glass to achieve a fireproof effect. Its fire prevention principle is that when a fire occurs, the fireproof liquid expands due to heat, forming a dense fireproof insulation layer, effectively preventing the spread of fire.

(2) Nano silicon fireproof glass: a special type of glass made by filling nano silicon fireproof adhesive between two or more layers of tempered glass. Nano silicon fireproof adhesive is different from fireproof liquid. The former is an inorganic material and the latter is an organic material, so nano silicon fireproof adhesive has better weather resistance.

(3) Hollow composite insulated fireproof glass: If the fireproof glass curtain wall is used outdoors, energy-saving requirements need to be considered, that is, low-e hollow composite insulated fireproof glass should be used. For example, structures such as low-e tempered glass+9A+25mm grouted fireproof glass, low-e tempered glass+5A+25mm nano silicon fireproof glass, etc.
2. Non insulated fire-resistant glass curtain wall:
It refers to curtain walls made of non insulated fire-resistant glass (single piece fire-resistant glass, hollow fire-resistant glass, etc.) that only have fire-resistant integrity. Whether the structural profiles are filled with insulation materials depends on the manufacturer's practice.
2.1 Types of Non Insulated Fireproof Glass Selection:
(1) High stress fire-resistant glass: A fire-resistant glass with high strength, high temperature resistance, and high hardness obtained by special treatment by changing the surface stress of the glass. It has the characteristics of good fire resistance, good weather resistance, and high transparency.

(2) Hollow fire-resistant glass: It is a non insulated fire-resistant glass made by setting a certain gap between tempered glass and fire-resistant glass and filling it with dry air or inert gas. Hollow fireproof glass has excellent characteristics of energy-saving insulation, sound insulation, weather resistance and fire resistance.

(3) Laminated fireproof glass: It is a single piece fireproof glass made of ordinary film sandwiched between two pieces of glass, which plays a role in fire prevention. Due to the presence of a clip in the middle of the glass, it has excellent adhesion and will not fall off even if broken, ensuring good safety.

(4) High borosilicate fire-resistant glass: High borosilicate fire-resistant glass is made of borosilicate glass with a high melting point. Compared with traditional soda lime glass, high borosilicate fire-resistant glass has higher strength and high temperature resistance, reaching a fire resistance limit of 3 hours, making it a very effective fire-resistant material.

4、 Precautions for selecting fire-resistant glass curtain walls
1. Fire resistance performance: When selecting fire-resistant glass curtain walls, fire-resistant glass curtain walls that meet the requirements of fire resistance performance should be selected according to the building's fire rating and fire partition requirements.
2. Structural safety: The structure of fire-resistant glass curtain walls should have sufficient strength and rigidity to withstand external loads such as wind and earthquake loads, ensuring the safety of the curtain wall.
3. Thermal insulation performance: The thermal insulation performance of fire-resistant glass curtain walls should meet the requirements of relevant standards and specifications to avoid indoor temperatures that are too high or too low, affecting people's comfort and work efficiency.
