KCC Indonesia ignites high-end high-quality float glass production line project with a daily melting capacity of 1200 tons

At 10:56 a.m. on October 3, 2024 local time, under the joint witness of Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, Minister of the Ministry of Investment of Indonesia, Park Soo Deok, South Korean Ambassador to Indonesia, Gandi Sulistiyanto, consultant of the Indonesian President's Advisory Committee, Zheng Mengyi, President of KCC Glass Group of South Korea, and Peng Shou, CAE Member, chief scientist of China Building Materials Group, and president of China Building Materials New Glass Research Institute, the KCC Indonesia high-end high-quality float glass production line project with a daily melting capacity of 1200 tons was successfully ignited, marking that the project officially entered the production acceptance period.

It is reported that after the project is put into operation, it will become another project with the largest scale and highest level of automation for exporting China's float glass technology and complete sets of equipment overseas.

It is reported that the project is an important measure for China Building Materials Engineering Group to thoroughly implement the national "the Belt and Road" initiative, a vivid practice around the goal of China Building Materials Group to "create a Chinese building material overseas", and another model for the company to deepen cooperation with overseas major customers and achieve win-win development.

The owner of the project, KCC Group of South Korea, is the largest manufacturer of coatings and building materials in South Korea, ranking ninth in the world in the industry. In 2015, both parties collaborated to build the KCC project in South Korea with a daily melting capacity of 1200 tons, setting a record for China's largest export tonnage float glass production line at that time. This time, we are once again working together to become another project in which China's float glass technology and complete sets of equipment are exported overseas with a single line capacity of 1200 tons per day.

The KCC Indonesia float glass project with a daily melting capacity of 1200 tons adopts multiple new technologies, materials, and processes, which have the characteristics of large kiln span, long kiln age, high-quality equipment, and high design and construction standards. The full process, one-stop, standardized engineering services provided by China National Building Materials Engineering Group, including research and development, design, equipment export and installation, and subsequent supporting flue gas treatment projects, have continuously gained the trust of international large companies with high level and high quality, and helped Indonesia's green and low-carbon development.
