What is the charm of magical AG and AR glass?

AG anti glare glass and AR high transmittance and anti reflection glass, these magical glass "brothers", have brought great convenience to our production and life. Below, the editor will take you to experience the charm of these magical glass "brothers"!

AG anti glare glass

AG anti glare glass, abbreviated as AG glass, is made through a special chemical process. Its characteristic is to make the original glass reflective surface become a matte diffuse reflective surface, which can blur the reflection effect, prevent glare, and reduce light and shadow. The anti glare product has strong anti-corrosion and scratch resistance on the surface. AR glass, abbreviated as AR glass, is coated with an anti reflective film on the glass surface, which can significantly increase the transmittance of the glass and reduce the reflectivity.

Principle

The double-sided or single-sided high-quality glass sheets are specially processed to have a lower reflectivity compared to ordinary glass, reducing the reflectivity of light from 8% to below 1%. Through technology, a clear and transparent visual effect is created, allowing viewers to experience a better sensory visual experience.

Purpose

Laptops, various touch screens, LCD displays, PDP protective screens, PTV rear projection screens, DLP TV splicing walls, flat screen TVs, industrial instrument dials, automotive interior glass, high-end photo frames, display window glass, background wall decorations, billboard glass, and other surface protections that need to avoid light reflection.

AR high transmittance and anti reflection glass

AR high transmittance anti reflection glass, also known as transmission enhancing glass or anti reflection glass, is a type of glass that has undergone special surface treatment.

The principle is to process high-quality glass on one or both sides. AR high transmittance anti reflective glass has high transmittance and low reflectivity. The transmittance can reach 99% at a certain peak, and high reflectivity anti reflective glass has a lower reflectivity compared to ordinary glass, reducing the reflectivity of light to below 1%. Ordinary glass has a single-sided reflectivity of about 4% in the visible light range, and a total spectral reflectivity of about 8%.

Principle

When light is emitted from a light sparse substance towards a light dense substance, there is a half wave loss in the reflected light. The optical path difference between the reflected light on the surface of the glass coated with AR film and the reflected light on the front surface of the film is exactly half a wavelength. The reflected light on the front and rear surfaces of the film cancels out, which is equivalent to increasing the energy of the transmitted light. And it is possible to reduce the reflection effect on both sides of the glass by coating them simultaneously. Because AR glass uses magnetron sputtering coating technology, the sputtered material is a transparent optical film system formed by nanoscale atomic motion. It does not affect the performance of the glass itself, and it also has a hardening effect, which is a protection for the glass itself and has extremely strong adhesion. It can be regarded as forming a whole with the glass.

Due to the fact that the visual range of humans in visible light is generally around 555nm wavelength. A regular window glass has a transmittance of only 91.5% at this wavelength, while a window glass that has undergone AR processing has a transmittance of 99% at this wavelength. This is why we feel that colors are more vivid and realistic when looking at displays with moist glass windows.

Purpose

The decorative feature of anti reflective glass is that the transmitted image is clear, and the glass seems to have disappeared in front of the eyes, maximizing the transparency of the glass. Generally used in storefront window glass, museum cabinet glass, display cabinet glass, store counter glass and other occasions.
